Members of the Los Alamitos High School’s Song and Cheer Program hit their marks on Sunday, March 8 while competing at the Best of the West Cheer and Dance Invitational. The competition was held at Cal State Long Beach and both the varsity and junior varsity cheer teams took home first place trophies. In addition, the varsity song team won first place in the jazz competition.
Los Alamitos High School’s varsity cheer team is coached by Cheryl Vuong, who was recently named Cheer Pro Coach of the Year. Los Alamitos High School’s junior varsity cheer team is coached by Serene Balisteri. Jennifer Ramirez is the adviser for the Los Alamitos High School Song and Cheer Program and also coaches the varsity song team.
