The Cypress Chamber of Commerce will host Anjeanette Le Curan from Anaheim Union High School District’s Career Connections Unlimited program at our November Networking Breakfast. The event will be held Tuesday, November 10th at the Residence Inn by Marriott at 4931 Katella Avenue, Cypress/Los Alamitos starting at 7:30 a.m. Anjeanette serves as an Employment Specialist for the Anaheim Union High School District’s Career Connections Unlimited (CCU) program.
In this role, she manages grant funding that bridges the gap between school and the workforce for students in Individualized Education Programs, or IEPs. By linking local Cypress area and O.C based businesses with Anaheim students, she works to dis the perception of their “challenges” and instead highlight their specific abilities to engage in the workforce and promote long term success of this next generation of employees.
With over 20 years of dedicated service to the disabled community, Anjeanette La Curan is a passionate advocate and specialist whose career is deeply rooted in both professional expertise and lived experience. After receiving an epilepsy diagnosis in her late 20s, Anjeanette transformed a personal challenge into a professional calling, utilizing her unique perspective to foster inclusion and support for others. This journey led her to a pivotal role at the Epilepsy Foundation Greater Los Angeles, where she facilitated therapy groups and provided vital resources for individuals also navigating these diagnoses.
Beyond her work with the foundation, Anjeanette spent years in the nonprofit sector supporting programs designed to empower the disabled population and bridge critical gaps within the community. For the past decade, she has focused her expertise within the special needs department of public education, ensuring students receive the tailored support and advocacy they need to thrive. By applying the alternative skills and deep empathy developed through her own diagnosis, Anjeanette has built a rewarding career centered on the belief that lived experience is one of the most powerful tools for creating meaningful, essential change.
Each Chamber breakfast attendee will also have an opportunity to stand to introduce themselves and share a little about their business before the program begins.
Reservations are highly recommended and can be made online. Cost of the breakfast is $25.00. Attendees are urged to bring a door prize to help promote their product or service. The program will include time for live networking, self-introductions, a breakfast buffet, as well as our guest speaker.
The Chamber networking breakfasts, which are open to the public, are held on the second Tuesday of every month. Space at these events is limited. To assure your seat, please pre-register on the chamber website: https://www.cypresschamber.org/events/details/2026-november-networking-breakfast-2794
