The Guardian said it best: “If you like the idea of being outsmarted while not being made to feel entirely stupid, Penn & Teller is the ticket.” Longtime friends and globally renowned magicians Penn Jillette and Teller “have evolved from iconoclastic magicians into an institution,” hailed The Hollywood Reporter. The veteran illusionists have amazed crowds all over the world, and their record-breaking Las Vegas show at The Rio Hotel & Casino just marked its 25th anniversary, outselling every other resident magician on The Strip and becoming the longest-running headline act in Sin City history.
Emmy nominated 13 times for their Showtime series Penn & Teller: Bullsh*t!, which tackles the fakes and frauds behind topics such as alien abduction, psychics, and bottled water, The New York Times best-sellers currently host the hit series Penn & Teller: Fool Us, which was nominated for a 2017 Critic’s Choice Award and features up-and-comers and magic veterans vying for a chance to star in the pair’s hit Las Vegas show. The duo’s Penn & Teller on Broadway was hailed as “deliciously unsettling” by USA Today. It was the highest-grossing non-musical on Broadway for its entire six-week run. The partners have also appeared on The Simpsons, Modern Family, The Drew Carey Show, and Top Chef.
Penn and Teller’s acclaimed documentary Tim’s Vermeer, about Texas-based inventor Tim Jenison and his exploration of methods used by painter Johannes Vermeer to produce realistic art, was nominated for a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award and shortlisted for an Oscar.
