The Los Alamitos High football team, pictured in their first round win over Yorba Linda, have now reached the CIF-SS Division 2 Championship game, after defeating Murrieta Valley, 23-10, on Friday at Murrieta Valley. The Griffins will face a familiar foe, as fellow Alpha League rival San Clemente will challenge the Griffins for the title. The Griffins suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of the Tritons, 28-9, as the Los Al offense struggled to put points on the board. Since then, the Griffins’ offense has been more productive, scoring 35 points in each of their first two playoff games. The game will be at San Clemente High School, at 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are available on line at gofan.co. Links are available through the cifss.org website.
