Hasselbrink joined the council in 2014, and previously served as Mayor Pro Tem.
Troy Edgar is now Mayor Pro Tem, and Warren Kusumoto rounds out the rest of the councilmembers along with Murphy and Wilson.
At the beginning of the meeting, many thanks were given to Grose for his service by various public officials including Congressman Alan Lowenthal and OC Supervisor Michelle Steel.
“I’m just going to be saying goodbye… to one part of him,” said Lowenthal. “You know him as the city councilmember, but as the advocate for everything in Los Alamitos, it’s good to know that you’re going to continue.”
