Champion’s Quest Athlete Academy recently held its awards night where they presented their senior class scholar-athletes that would be moving on to collegiate sports next year. Following this is a list of Los Alamitos and Cypress athletes that were recognized during the event. Ashley Willingham, Princeton University, Track & Field, Los Alamitos High School; Brendon Dennis, US Navy, Lacrosse, Los Alamitos High School; Carley Brown, University of California Irvine, Soccer, Los Alamitos; Jenna Dages, Louisiana Tech University, Soccer, Cypress High School; Kaitlyn Sachs, Adams State University, Soccer, Oxford, Academy; Maureen Kennedy, Bowling Green State University, Soccer, Los Alamitos; Molly Herrera, Linfield College, Lacrosse, Los Alamitos High School; Natalie Rojes, University of California Riverside, Volleyball, Los Alamitos High School; Rachel Posner, College of Charleston, Soccer, Los Alamitos High School; Randi Geffrey, Davidson College, Soccer, Los Alamitos High School.
Champion’s Quest is a multi-sport youth academy located at 10714 Reagan St. in Los Alamitos. This year’s group of graduating athletes brought the academy’s 12-year total to 196 and brought the earned scholarship dollars to date well over $10 million. A total of 25 next level athletes in Senior class graduated on May 20.
