The JRAY Program operates under the umbrella organization of Fullerton Civic Light Opera Music Theatre (FCLO), under the direction of General Manager, Griff Duncan.

FCLO was established in 1971 and is a nonprofit association.

On Sunday, several students attended the Cappies Gala, and Melanie Tanaka won the Cappie for Best Supporting Actress in a play and Kaitlin Buxton won the Cappie for Featured Actress in a play.

The Cappies are analogous to the Tony Awards for theatre and being nominated is an honor of the highest order as the Cappies are the most competitive high school theatre awards nationally. Moreover, winning a Cappie Award indicates that the student is the top performer in the given category.

Los Alamitos recently inducted over a dozen new students into its Thespian Troupe and announced its 2016-17 season that will include a production of the Broadway musical Guys and Dolls and will feature a live orchestra comprised of students in the Los Alamitos Instrumental Music program.

Under the direction of Drama Teacher Stacy Castiglione, the Los Al Drama program has grown in scope, size, and number of productions.
