New playground equipment is being installed at Lee Elementary School in Rossmoor. It’s one of three Los Alamitos Unified School District campuses getting a new playground. Weaver Elementary and Los Alamitos Elementary will also soon have new areas for children to play.

The playgrounds are being paid for through Measure G, a $97 million bond measure approved by voters in 2018. Measure G is also financing the construction of a multistory STEM building and a second gymnasium at Los Alamitos High School. Measure G money also paid for a new LAHS Aquatics Center that opened last year.
