The Cypress School District recently announced that A.E. Arnold, Clara J. King, Margaret Landell, and Steve Luther Elementary Schools have been named to the 2015 California School Honor Roll by the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE).
The Cypress School District recently announced that A.E. Arnold, Clara J. King, Margaret Landell, and Steve Luther Elementary Schools have been named to the 2015 California School Honor Roll by the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE).
The Honor Roll program is part of a national effort to identify high performing schools and highlight successful practices that improve outcomes for students. Schools receiving this distinction from leaders in the California business community have consistently demonstrated high levels of student academic achievement over time and have reduced the achievement gap among student groups.

Their commitment to continuous improvement and student success is reflected each day in classrooms throughout our district.” said Anne Silavs, Superintendent.
The Campaign for Business and Education Excellence utilizes data from the Educational Results Partnership to identify Honor Roll schools. The Educational Results Partnership is a nonprofit organization and the largest longitudinally-linked, actionable school data system in the country.
Through national research, the Educational Results Partnership has identified a common set of success factors in high performing Honor Roll schools and school districts. These include clear, specific learning objectives aligned to college and career readiness; evidence-based instructional practices; a system-wide mission of promoting college and career readiness for all students; development of human capital; data and assessment systems to monitor student performance; and the distribution of resources to support student success.
“When we close achievement gaps, we set our children on a path of productivity that not only leads to success in the classroom, but also prepares them to contribute to and benefit from a more productive economy. These Honor Roll schools are setting their students on the path to a college degree and the financial security of a living wage job.” said Lee Blitch, Educational Results Partnership Board Chairman and President of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
The annual Honor Roll award is made possible by support from numerous businesses and organizations, including Chevron Corporation, State Farm, AAA, Macy’s, Wells Fargo, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and several private foundations.
