The Seal Beach Police Department arrested, Scott Durzo, a 49 year old male resident of Seal Beach, after he allegedly committed several lewd and lascivious acts approximately eight years ago with a juvenile under the age of 14.
The Seal Beach Police Department arrested, Scott Durzo, a 49 year old male resident of Seal Beach, after he allegedly committed several lewd and lascivious acts approximately eight years ago with a juvenile under the age of 14.
Durzo is a well-known owner of, “Scott Durzo’s – Total Sport Camp” “www.totalsportcamp.com” which offers early and after school sport programs/camps year-round for children in the Seal Beach, Surfside, Rossmoor, Los Alamitos, Los Altos, Long Beach, Cypress, and Huntington Beach Communities. Scott Durzo was previously a basketball coach at Los Alamitos High School.
Charges will be filed at a later time by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, as this investigation is ongoing. He was ultimately booked into the Seal Beach Police Department’s Detention Center under California Penal Code 288(a) – Lewd and Lascivious Acts of a child under the age of 14 and California Penal Code 288(c)(1) – Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a child of 14 or 15 years of age.
With this arrest, the Seal Beach Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance to identify any other victims who may have fallen victim to similar crimes.
