Youths attend Mormon formal

More than 350 LDS youth danced and partied beside the Eiffel Tower during the 7th annual Mormon Formal, commonly known as the “Mormal,” in the spectacularly decorated lobby of the Cerritos Performing Arts Center.

The party, entitled “An Evening in Paris” was held on Friday, March 16. Youth at the event gathered from Long Beach, Seal Beach, Los Alamitos, Signal Hill, Lakewood, Cerritos, Whittier, Garden Grove, Cypress and Huntington Beach.

What draws all these young men and women to this event?  As one partier stated, “It’s an event where I can get all ‘Hollywood-glammed up’ and just be me.  I don’t have to worry about bad music or inappropriate dancing or clothing. It’s been the time of my life.”
