Super soph continues to shine

Los Alamitos High School sophomore Ashley Willingham proved she has more to give, by breaking her own personal best in the 400 meters at the Beach Cities Invitational on March 29. She set a personal best with a meet record of 56.69, breaking the meets’ previous 2006 record of 57.96, and is currently the county's 400m leader.

"This talented young lady has just begun,” said Los Alamitos Sprint Coach Holly Iris. “All of her hard work and dedication has started to show.”

“I'm looking forward to see how far she will go. I was very excited for Ashley when she won,” continued Iris. “I know this has been a huge goal for Ashley and she got it!”
