National Charity League donates $4K to Boys & Girls Club of Cypress

The Boys & Girls Club of Cypress recently received $4,000 from the South Coast Chapter of National Charity League, a mother-daughter organization, to help the club’s Smart Girls Program.

The Boys & Girls Club of Cypress recently received $4,000 from the South Coast Chapter of National Charity League, a mother-daughter organization, to help the club’s Smart Girls Program.

The Smart Girls Program is a small-group designed to meet the developmental needs of girls in the club by focusing on health, fitness and education. It includes discussions, field trips and mentoring opportunities for club girls with adult women. The program also emphasizes skills for eating right, physical fitness and developing positive relationships with peers and/or adults.

The National Charity League (NCL) helps support numerous non-profits in the community and members have volunteered hundreds of hours at the club helping with various activities throughout the year.

The Boys & Girls Club in Cypress offers a summer program from June 16 to August 22.
