The Los Alamitos Unified School District Board of Education announced Renee Arkus as the district’s new Director of Fiscal Services.
The Los Alamitos Unified School District Board of Education announced Renee Arkus as the district’s new Director of Fiscal Services.
Arkus comes to Los Al after 14 years in various positions with the Long Beach Unified School District, most recently as Assistant Director of Fiscal Services.
“I am honored and extremely humbled to be joining such a strong team of expert administrators, teachers, staff, supportive parents and community members,” said Arkus. “Please know that I am committed to continuing the long Los Alamitos tradition of helping all students achieve at high levels!”
Deputy Superintendent Patricia Meyer stated, “Renee brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our district in the areas of finance and accounting, and her tireless work ethic will be called upon as we implement the State’s new funding formulas and processes in the coming years.”
Arkus earned her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Riverside. She resides in Long Beach along with her three children and husband, Steve, who works for Long Beach Unified School District.
