The Knights of Columbus Cypress Council #8599 is hosting special Fish Fry Dinners for six consecutive Friday evenings of the Lenten Season on Feb. 20 and 27, March 6, 20, and 27 at 5 p.m. in the St. Irenaeus Parish Hall in Cypress. All are invited to attend.
Council Grand Knight Peter A. Morales said it’s more than delicious dinners, but is a way to help local organizations such the Home School Association (HSA), Helping Other People Everyday (HOPE), the Boy Scout and Cub Scout troops, Marriage Enrichment Formation Program (MEFP), and other Knight of Columbus services in Cypress and surrounding communities.
Fish and chips dinners are on the menu with suggested donations of $7 for adults and $5 for children age 5 to12 years. Dinners are free for children under age 4 years. There will also be clam chowder served in a sourdough bowl for $6, and an added feature of two slices of cheese pizza for $5. Coffee and tea are provided, and soda costing $1.
The Knights of Columbus Cypress Council #8599 has been serving the local community and Saint Irenaeus Parish since 1984. The Council is composed of nearly 200 members, and extends an open invitation for others to join.
