The Kennedy High football team ran into a wall this week. It suffered a 45-7 loss at the hands of host Capistrano Valley on Friday, Sept. 26.

The Kennedy High football team ran into a wall this week. It suffered a 45-7 loss at the hands of host Capistrano Valley on Friday, Sept. 26.

Capistrano Valley took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Though Kennedy dented the board in the second quarter when Adrian Quezada threw a 7-yard pass to Derrick Deese, it would trail 24-7 at the end of the opening half.
The Irish defense allowed 14 more points in the third and 7 in the fourth.
For Kennedy, Joey Ortega ran for 56 yards and Quezada tallied 22 on the ground. Derrick Deese ended with 75-receiving yards while Quezada threw for 65.
The Irish defense allowed 264 yards in the air.
Kennedy will return to action against Valencia on Oct. 9, after a bye this week.
