District Representive, Ron Cocchi, opened the Court of Honor. Special speakers included two Los Alamitos City Council members, Troy Edgar and Richard Murphy, Kevin’s Jamboree Scoutmasters and Troop 657 Eagle Advisor, Mike Burton. All presented Kevin with special awards of their own to congratulate him on reaching the rank of Eagle Scout. The MC Jeff Herron and the OA Ceremonies Team did a great job with the program.
Among Kevin’s list of mentors was his own grandpa Bob Olszewski. Bob was very involved in the Orange County Council back in the ‘70s and ‘80s when Kevin’s father, Tom Olszewski, was a Scout and received his rank of Eagle in 1983.
The ceremony concluded with an amazing spread of gourmet hors dourves by Chef Marla McGee.
“We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect celebration,” The Olszewski’s said.
