The Fall book sale at the Los Alamitos/Rossmoor Library will take place on Thursday, September 13 and Saturday, September 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bargain paperback fiction for only $2 a bag will be an all day event. Note the new browsing areas – Good Reads and Light Mysteries.
Our star attractions will be fall decorating books and the Halloween section, featuring party ideas, food, decorating and of course, scary stories. Don’t forget the Kids area too. Parents take a break while we entertain the kids at Kid’s Night Out, on Sept. 21 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at The Youth Center in Los Alamitos. Theme is “Camp Out Event,” and kids will create wooden teepees, campfire hands and paint their own pet rocks. Activities will be having backyard fun, basketball, and ping pong plus playing pool. A movie chosen by the kids will be shown and smores will be served. Pizza, a snack and drink will be served. Cost is $18 for one child, and $13 for siblings.
