On Jan. 25, Murrieta’s FNL Flag Football Franchise held an open flag football tournament. In the 5th/6th grade division Los Alamitos/Seal Beach/Long Beach entered a team called the Los Alamitos Bears, who played six games in one day. During the regular robin tournament the Bears suffered their one and only defeat to Redlands. But, they came back to play the same team in the final and won, 48-14, to take the title.
