The FitFather’s movement is part of a growing trend where dads, as a daily role model, lead their families in healthy nutrition choices, regular exercise and enriching their lives.

Kamatni said, “for the 3rd Annual FitFather’s Day, I wanted to reach out to have a West Coast presence. Bryce is an example that the whole community can look to where, he as a father of three, walks the talk.
Beach Fitness also aligns with their BeachFit Moms™ program as the complete opposite side of the coin to FitFathers.”
Bryce speaks extensively of his life journey and fatherhood as it relates to fitness.
“Being a father has allowed for tremendous growth both personally and professionally. The first moment I saw my son’s eyes looking back at mine I was blown away by the instant connection and overwhelming love between us. All I wanted was to protect my child and make sure he was always safe. I could not wait to teach him everything I know and believe in.”
He continued, “Since that beautiful moment my wife Annika and I have had two more children. The two boys are 5-years-old and 4-months-old, and the middle daughter is 3-years-old. Having three kids was a big decision for our family, and I would be lying if I said it wasn’t challenging. Yes, being a Fit Father keeps you on your toes, but there is nothing like coming home from a hard day and cuddling up with them all on the couch and watching a movie. They are growing up so fast and have become such great people already. My daughter is the ‘boss’ of the family as well as my little princess. In every sense of the phrase, she is daddy’s little girl.”
Being the “Best of Seal Beach – Gym” for the second year in a row, Beach Fitness is also unique in the partnership it has with the City of Seal Beach’s recreation program. Boot camp is run outside on the beach and is a uniquely programmed component.
That doesn’t mean that outside fitness has to be done only at special events. Both FitFathers and Beach Fitness stress the idea that over health and optimal living comes from daily engagement in good choices nutritionally, personally and in physical activity.
After all, the new “ daily bad health habit” like smoking is just sitting.
Kamatni focused on the ongoing nature of the FitFathers concept, “continuous education on the benefits of an overall healthy lifestyle is imperative.
Awareness of chronic disease causation, daily exercise, and positive habits are becoming more apparent as a degeneration of the body is striking faster due to the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.), lethargic attitudes and overwhelming work schedules. So continue to eat clean, energize your life and stay active.”
Bryce added about the opportunity to help shape his children’s choices, “It’s incredible knowing that these kids came from us and that the love is so deep on many different levels. As a fitness professional, I enjoy teaching them new things and watching them develop. I also love watching them grow and change into these intelligent, moving beings. Fatherhood has been the most rewarding aspect of my life and has made me a better man overall!”
