Oak Middle School recently celebrated its newly renovated music room in a ceremony attended by students, teachers, parents and administration. Students signed posters to thank the Oak PTA and the Philharmonic Society for their gracious contributions. Four new timpani were a gift from the Philharmonic Society. The room also received new storage cabinets, acoustic ceiling panels and chairs. Pictured, Justin Padilla (center) is flanked by members of the Philharmonic Society. Oak Principal Sally Neiser, LAUSD Board Member Meg Cutuli, Oak Instrumental Music Director Justin Padilla, and Superintendent Sherry Kropp did the official ribbon cutting honors.
