The Los Alamitos Recreation and Community Services Department is excited to announce its Fall 2020 class offerings! Try something new this season by registering for a Los Alamitos Recreation Program. From youth sports, Escape Los Al, enrichment classes, and the new Afternoon Rec for Kids & Teens program sponsored by Southland Credit Union, the Los Alamitos Recreation and Community Services Department has something for everyone!
This season, youth sports is introducing a new Basketball Training Camp at Little Cottonwood Park for 3rd-8th graders in two time blocks from 3:00PM-4:00PM and 4:15PM-5:15PM. During this program, your child will learn the basics of the sport and will prepare them for the Youth Basketball League Sponsored by Chang Orthodontics in partnership with the Jr Clippers. If you have a 3.5-4 year old basketball player at home, register them for Jr. Pee Wee Basketball on Saturdays from 10:15AM-11:00AM at Little Cottonwood Park!

This program is a perfect introduction of the sport for your little basketball star. If you are looking for an introductory basketball program for your 2-3 year old, register them for Parent and Me Basketball! During this parent-involved program, Recreation staff will go over the fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, and passing to prepare them for the next step in their basketball journey.
