SHARK Alert! The Youth Center Has Programs to Assist Children During Distance Learning
With Distance learning starting soon, many parents are concerned that their children’s learning experience will not be as positive and successful as with traditional schooling. Los Alamitos Youth Center has two programs designed to help children during distance learning and after school.

The Youth Center’s S.H.A.R.K.s At School program provides individualized assistance with school and independent study in small groups. Parents can add The Youth Center to teacher communications so they can better assure the child’s success. Fun activities are provided during each break. Extra activities include science, art, P.E., history, crafts and hands on projects.

The Sharks After School program offers homework help, reading time, games, sports, arts and crafts, movies and special themed days with snacks available for purchase.
The two programs are filling up fast and limited space is available. Parents can choose the best program days for their children’s schedule.
