Los Al seniors enjoy the parade of a lifetime

Los Al Class of 2020 Dilara Flor

Los Al TV will air a 30-min video of last Wednesday’s 2020 Seniors on Parade throughout the upcoming week.

The parade was the result of the Rossmoor Homeowners Association channeling the energy of local parents wanting to do something to celebrate the hard work of this year’s graduates who unfortunately had to miss many of the normal memories of your senior year in high school.

The video was made from footage includes six hours of video shot by Los Al TV crews and includes short interviews with students, teachers and community members, as well as footage and photos provided by community members.

The parade for the 2020 graduates began at the Shops of Rossmoor and immediately went through a cordon of honor of cheering teachers and staff from Los Alamitos High School, then they continued to pass by each of the community’s four elementary schools where former teachers and staff also celebrated the new grads. Teachers from Oak and McGaugh schools were located at Rush Park and teachers and staff from McAuliffe and LAE were at Rossmoor Park.

Over 550 cars participated in the event – and unofficially at least 2,000 persons cheered them on over the entire parade route.
The video will air at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. for most days, but check losaltv.com for schedule updates.

The parade was organized by the Rossmoor Homeowners Association with Jo Shade, Art Remnet and Marian Last handling most of the work.
The Los Al TV video was produced and edited by Larry Strawther with camera work handled by Sam Barrozo, Conner Brown, and John Underwood.
